"One World, Many Stories" Book Lists

I just wanted to let everyone know that Lorraine and I created several different "One World, Many Stories" themed book lists for kids of all ages, from board books for babies to chapter books for upper elementary school readers.  We hope that these lists will save you some time this summer!

If you are interested in checking out this resource, please visit the Summer Reading 2011 page on the Youth Services Wiki and click the link for SRC Book List Bookmarks.  There are two different file formats - PDF for quick printing or posting and Publisher for modifying the lists as much as you want to suit your library's needs.  See a sample bookmark to the right.

Also, for more inspiration, I wanted to share a list of links to other great book lists available online:

1) I highly recommend this series from ALSC called Growing Up Around the World.
2) The Cooperative Children's Book Center at UWM has a great list of Global Reading.
3) From Duluth Public Library, a list to Read Around the World.
4) I don't know who Mindy is, but she makes a great Read Around the World book list.
5) Also, this isn't a book list, but with all the recent buzz about ebooks combined with this year's summer reading theme, I wanted to remind everyone about the International Children's Digital Library.  It is SUCH a valuable resource.  You can even search for books by location!
