It's a nice choice for storytime for slightly older kids. Kids around third grade (at least in my experiences) love this pick! I'd be willing to venture a guess that little ones would enjoy the story as well.
Mo Willems really reaches out to engage another type of literacy through awesome visuals and minimal written text. When I heard this read to a bunch of third-graders (or kids within that general age bracket) I noticed that they were really reaading into the images nicely, and making really awesome connections regarding the plot, all without the cues of written text. A great choice for working on visual literacy skills--plus the quirky sense of humor will certainly find it's way into the hearts of all patrons. Hooray!
