Gretchen Caserotti (recently named one of Library Journal's 2010 Movers and Shakers!) and I will be presenting a cool online session on how to bring the 23Things project to your library for parents and caregivers next Tuesday (4/27) at 6 PM. Some of you may have participated in our county's 23 Things-N'@ last year where participants learned about new techie-tools by playing and having fun with fellow staff members. I'm going to be talking about best practices associated with this project, what we learned and how youth services librarians might translate this idea (originated by the great Helene Blowers while at PLCMC) and offer it to parents and caregivers at your library. Gretchen will be talking about Darien Library's 21 Things for Parents that they had great success with!
It's going to be WAY cool and even FUN! Here's more information about it and if you can't make it for the live presentation, it'll be archived and I'll post more about that when it's available. Hope to see some familiar names there!
