SnapShot PA

On 10/28/09, Commonwealth Libraries of Pennsylvania and PaLA joined forces to create a Day in the Life of Pennsylvania Libraries called SnapshotPA to capture the impact libraries have on PA residents.  While ACLA as a whole didn't participate this year (a handful of libraries participated on their own!) I loved looking at the resulting photos of libraries all over Pennsylvania who did.  The stats are staggering:
  • 505 libraries participated
  • nearly 180,000 people walked into libraries on 10/28/09
  • over 30,000 children's books were checked out that day
Head over to the website or check out the pictures on Flickr.
