"Tweeting" Help!!

Sometimes Twitter can be daunting, especially since you only have 140 characters to get your point across and connect with your "followers," what Twitter calls your readers or subscribers. As librarians for children and youth, we need to be able to use Twitter to our advantage, and encourage our patrons to follow our tweets!

Kelly Dallen has created a great list of different ways that libraries can benefit from using Twitter in her article "How Your Library May Not be Using Twitter but Should." She has excellent ideas about spicing up the tweets you make, and encourages librarians to be creative with their posts so that our patrons become excited about the library programs and what the library has to offer. So read the article, learn some new ideas, and tweet away with expertise!
