CCBC Shorts: My New Obsession

My desk this morning as I watched CCBC Shorts

So CCBC, The Cooperative Children's Book Center is doing some great things - and the best part, they're free and online!  Every month, they host a 1/2 hour webinar on books for children, tweens and teens that highlight a theme and at the end, the librarians include what's in their book bag.  So you get a nice short, focused list of books and a few new books you may have missed.  They happen at 10 AM EST and are also recorded, so you can go back and watch them in your PJs at home!  They also do podcasts, bibliographies and booklists, and a very active list-serv

Today's webinar was on mysteries for children.  I got some great titles to look into:

December's CCBC Shorts date is 12/12 at 10 AM.  In January, they're talking award-winning and outstanding books for k-5 on the 27th.  I'll be there - hope to see some of you too!

Oh, and we're working on a great new wiki page: All Books All the Time - stay tuned!
