Maurice Sendak is Everywhere

Not only is the Where the Wild Things Are movie coming out in October, but the United Way has partnered with CAPA (Creative and Performing Arts) school in Pittsburgh to create a show based on Maurice Sendak's Brundibar November 6th-8th:
Opera Theater of Pittsburgh presents Brundibar, by Hans Kraša, designed by Maurice Sendak and translated by Tony Kushner in cooperation with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and in collaboration with Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12's Vocal Music department Opera Workshop and The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony. For tickets call the Cultural Trust Box Office at 412-456-6666.  Adults $25, children $15.
The Pittsburgh Ballet is also participating through their Light/The Holocaust and Humanity Project with performances in mid-November.

All of this meaning, it's a perfect time for a Maurice Sendak display at your library!  You can highligh all of Sendak's great books including Alligators All AroundThe Art of Murice Sendak, Brundibar, Very Far Away, and Where the Wild Things Are
