New Sites & Resources

I've recently come across a couple of great lists of digital resources for kids, and I thought I'd share:

First up is the ALSC's "Annotated List of New Great Web Sites for Kids," featuring 19 new sites aimed at kids up to age 14. A couple of highlights are National Geographic's Wildlife Film Maker, which allows kids to make their own animal movies in a simple drag-and-drop interface, and Mrs. P, a site that features audio versions of many popular books.

Second is School Library Journal's 10 Best Digital Resources for 2009. A few of these are more scholarly, but there are also some great sites for public libraries including Animoto, which can help you create interactive digital booktalks.
