NYT article about teen Internet Use

I've been meaning to post about this for a while, but sadly I've had the flu so I'm just getting around to it...

There was a great article in the nytimes last week about teens using the Internet to socialize. The basic point of it is that this isn't so bad, and that teens are just finding new and innovative ways to socialize and stay connected. One of my favorite lines:

“Teens usually have a ‘full-time intimate community’ with whom they communicate in an always-on mode via mobile phones and instant messaging,” the study said.

This certainly true for me, and I'm getting further from the "teen" demographic pretty quickly (haha). This may be a good tool to have on hand if questioned about teen computer use!
